What is Confidence?
Lets start by understanding what is confidence. Confidence is the belief in oneself and one’s abilities. It is the assurance that you can handle challenges, make decisions, and achieve goals. Confidence is not about being perfect or knowing everything; rather, it’s about trusting yourself despite uncertainties or difficulties.

Confidence can be divided into  two main types: self- confidence and situational confidence.

Self-Confidence – Believing in your own worth, skills, and decisions.

Situational Confidence – Feeling assured in specific areas where you have experience or skill (e.g., public speaking, leadership, sports).

It is a key factor in personal and professional success.

Characteristics of a Confident Person

1. Self-Awareness – Confident people know their strengths and weaknesses and work on self-improvement.

2. Positive Mindset – They focus on solutions rather than problems and keep an optimistic outlook.

3. Assertiveness – They express their thoughts and opinions clearly and respectfully without fear or hesitation.

4. Emotional Control – They manage stress, criticism, and failure without becoming overly defensive or discouraged.

5. Resilience – They recover quickly from setbacks and use failures as learning opportunities.

6. Good Communication Skills – They speak clearly, keep eye contact, and listen actively.

7. Ability to Take Risks – They step out of their comfort zones and embrace challenges.

8. Self-Reliance – They trust their own abilities to make decisions rather than depending excessively on others.

9. Adaptability – They stay flexible and open to change without feeling threatened.

– Keep eye contact when speaking with others.
– Stand and sit upright with good posture.

– Smile and use open gestures to be approachable and self-assured.

5. Step Out of Your Comfort Zone
– Try new experiences and embrace challenges rather than avoiding them.
